NME Abolitionist Alternatives to Exclusions Guide Launch
NME Abolitionist Alternatives to Exclusions Guide Launch
What would an education system where no child is excluded practically look like?
Join No More Exclusions for the launch of our new guide - Abolitionist Alternatives to Exclusions - a resource in which we offer tangible alternatives to school exclusions of any form, and discuss the potential harms of education reforms that are centred on punishment rather than care.
We hope you can join us for an evening of discussion and community building. We would love to see and hear from educators, parents, caregivers, school students and community members interested in building a better world for our young people!
Hot food and refreshments will be provided, and all attendees will receive a printed copy of the guide.
Note: Part of this event will be filmed to be included in a documentary. We will take every care to make sure that anyone who would prefer not to be on camera will not be filmed.
Accessibility:
If you would like to join us but the cost of travel is a barrier for you, please get in touch via email ([email protected]) and we can support with travel costs.
The Liberation Centre usually has step free access but the lift is currently waiting to be repaired. We are hoping that it will be fixed in time, but unfortunately the venue are unable to guarantee this. We want to make sure that everyone who wants to join is able to, so if this is an issue for you please get in touch.
